Something Private podcast ideas
I was browsing on LinkedIn and applied as Community Manager for Our Grandfather Story (OGS) in Singapore. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back from them.
Yet, I saw their post for ideas/topics for one of their podcasts called "Something Private" by a youngish Nicole Lim:
and decided to share my idea topics anyway with the belief that people have the right to know and be informed about these things, and they will come back to me in many different ways. Hence, I gave it a shot and went to their website, filled out the form and click sent.
Unexpectedly, one of the OGS co-founders e-mailed me and said they will comeback for any opportunities. Even more surprising is an e-mail from Nicole herself and her response to the topics I gave. From this inspiring idea, my energy just flows for more ideas are just flowing for Something Private:
- LGBT and straight people- the types and arrangement (bi-racial, same-sex, old and young, different fields, adopted, foster,non-parent carer (aunt/uncle/grandparents/non-relative)
- non-trad relationships- online dating, hook-up, open relationship, cuckold/cuckquean.
- sex workers- debunking stereotypes (how does it work for them to separate clients who fall in love?) reasons why they do this work. who did they tell about this work? what do people presume about them? best and worse experience from clients.
- abusive relationships- types, how to know, where to seek help- counseling, organizations,
- sex toys- basics, care, pleasure
- sexual fetishes- normal, range and scope: porn, bdsm, swingers, massage parlors, tantric, yoni, erotic massage, sex education
- sex scandals/videos/voyeur- help, how to recover
- psychologist/sex therapist Dr. Marge Holmes or any other similar role
- women authors/artists in singapore- their stories, poetry, spoken word, book review
- women as everyday heroes- cleaners, laborers, the unseen people. How people treat them, how do they feel?
- divorce stigma and their children- their rights, stereotypes. single moms- relationships, dating, blended families,
- mental health- depression, post-partum, ptsd- highly functional people, resources, symptoms
- emotional/self-help- intuitive healers, alternative therapy- how they recognized their calling, debunking myths and stereotypes, what do they tell people, how they can help, and people they have helped.
Hence, I realized from cycling that: gratefulness is the antidote to anger. fullness trumps lack
